Dr. Nicole Williams has an extensive research background . She was a National Institutes of Health research grant recipient in plasmid DNA research during medical school and also presented research on Intravenous Leiomyomatosis at the University of Chicago. During her training, Dr. Williams earned a certificate in Female Sexual Dysfunction from world renowned sexual Psychologist Dr. Domeena Renshaw at Loyola University based on the principles of Masters and Johnson. Dr. Williams also served as a representative at the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) conference where she presented research on patient safety.

For 3 years, Dr. Williams held a position as teaching faculty and Clinical Instructor with the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine. She served as chairman of the DaVinci Minimally Invasive Surgery Committee at Mercy Hospital, developing their Robotic Gynecologic Surgery Program. In 2014, she became only the second physician in the state of Illinois to be certified in the Acessa procedure for fibroids. In addition, she received training under a world reknowned Chicago Urogynecologist and has adopted non-mesh techniques for pelvic organ prolapse.

Her clinical interests include heavy menstrual periods, fibroids, female sexual dysfunction, menopause and Bioidentical hormone therapy, female incontinence, and overactive bladder treatment. In addition, she is a member of the American Urogynecologic Society (AUGS), American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), and the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists (AAGL).
