Dr. Karen Toubi is an Ob/Gyn at Rodeo Drive Women’s Health Center who combines medical expertise with compassion and warmth. Her genuine personality makes her patients feel comfortable and safe in her care. Dr. Toubi spends the time to get to know her patients, explains and educates, so that they become partners in their own tailored care with the best possible outcome. Dr. Toubi embodies the Osteopathic philosophy of caring for patients; appreciating the body’s tendency towards self-healing, having a holistic eye and getting to the root of the problem, rather than just treating the symptoms.
Dr. Toubi completed her undergraduate training at San Diego State University with high honors. She earned her Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine from Western University of Health Sciences, graduating with honors. Dr. Toubi completed her residency in New York City where she spent four years training at the world renowned New York Presbyterian, Brooklyn Methodist Hospital. During her time there, she was elected as administrative chief resident, was a member of the quality improvement committee and received multiple awards including best resident educator and the award from the Society of Maternal Fetal Medicine for excellence in Obstetrics.
Specializing in general obstetrics and gynecology, Dr. Toubi has a special interest in high risk pregnancy, PCOS, minimally invasive surgery and family planning. Dr. Toubi speaks fluent Hebrew and Spanish and conversational Farsi.
