Dr. Leon was born and raised in Colombia where she learned the importance of femininity and caring for the health of women.  She completed medical school at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in NYC, where she developed a new found love for the field of obstetrics and gynecology thanks to her inspirational mentors. She then completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at SUNY Downstate. Dr. Leon is a top-rated provider who is committed to caring for women in all stages of life with thoroughness, compassion and warmth both at the hospital and in private practice.  She also takes advantage of having a multilingual office as she is fluent in English and Spanish.  In today’s environment, Dr. Leon wants to empower women to normalize the conversation and treatment of their, often ignored, needs.
